I have been playing Lord of the Rings Online alot as of late.

I made level 50 and I figured it would be a good time to take some screen shots in Moria.

This is my new Camo kit … its called “Urban Digital”… but its actually just shades of darker   green …

Well gang, I have not done an update in a wile. Mostly this is because of a computer crash and being busy with life and my other Hobby – Airsoft.

So, as I sit here drinking a Pepsi Max (Giving it a try … not bad) I am training up skills in Eve Online and trying to get my Lord of the Rings Online Hunter to level 41. They are very different games, but both very well done and graphically beautiful.

I had not even finished outfitting my frigate in Eve Online before I got my ship shot out from under me and then had my life pod blown up. With any luck in a few weeks I will be skilled and equipped enough to go looking for some payback … But then, that is much of the fun of Eve Online… Space Combat!

The game is so much more than that, but that is a big part of what makes it so viscerally fun.

Lord of the Rings Online however is more about the story and enjoying the ride. Its more of a straight PvE game for the most part. (Monster Play not withstanding). I enjoy the game greatly for its flavor and depth of story.

Anyone who has not had a chance to try either game … I encourage you to do so.

After playing Warhammer Online for a good wile I made a decision that at the heart of it, a PvP game is really not me. There were other factors, but at the end of the day, I just do not like the kind of players that a hardcore PvP game brings to the table.

So I am back playing Lord of the Rings Online. I always liked the game and I only stopped playing because I was not in a guild and got bored of soloing. Now I am back with TOG on the Elendilmir Server. It took Turbine a week to move my old Hunter Character to that server from Silver load, but it was worth it.

The game is as beautiful as ever with even more content than before and many ruff spots polished out.

And the TOG Kinship on that server communicates very well and is very friendly and helpful… and they actually use their Vent server

I look forward to getting my Hunter to 60 … then doing the same with my new Warden.

After getting some feedback I made some changes. Here is the result.

This is the logo for the Tome Raiders guild that I have been playing with. This is the second version of it. Still a work in progress

Due to reasons that have nothing to do with any player or with The Older Gamers in general, I have left the TOG guild in Warhammer online. I wish those that have stayed the best of luck and I hope to see them again in the future.

Now on to new business… I have joined the Tome Raiders Guild. They are a good bunch who fit well with my play style and seem like a good bunch.

So as a result I thought I would experiment and make a nice new logo for the guild… just for fun. This is a first draft only and not what the finished project will be. Its just an example.
